A note about dog walks
Bat Country Pet Sitting doesn’t offer recurring standalone dog-walking services. Walks are provided as part of scheduled pet-sitting visits.
However, pet enrichment and slow, easy sniffari walks can be added on a recurring basis when appropriate for senior and special needs dogs and their care plan.
Depending on your pet’s species and care plan, Joshua provides:
- Regular feeding and water changes
- Special diets and meal preparation
- Litter box and habitat cleaning
- Habitat condition and environmental monitoring
- Routine mobility assistance (pets under 25 lbs)
- Topical medications
- Liquid oral medications
- Medications mixed into food
- Potty breaks and walks for small dogs
- Companionship, observation, and enrichment
When Great Care Calls for a Team
Some senior pets and special-needs animals, medically complex pets, or animals requiring advanced medical or handling support may need care led by Brea Corwin, with Joshua providing additional household coverage, routine care, or pet companionship.
Team-supported care may also be appropriate for some multi-pet or multi-species households and bookings that require backup coverage.
Each of these situations is assessed individually. This allows us to match the animal’s needs with the sitter who can provide the most appropriate level of support.

In His Own Words
I’ve been an animal person all my life, with a particular soft spot for terriers, from very large to extremely small. I’ve known Brea for over five years, and after caring for her own pets, many conversations about her work, and showing interest in becoming a sitter, she began training me to become an in-home pet care and support specialist.
I’ve helped care for all kinds of pets for friends and family over the years, but I’ve spent most of my life fixing and securing computing systems for companies like Technorati and Sephora. Stepping in to support Brea’s animals gave me a different perspective.
With Brea’s mentorship, earning animal care certifications, and the steady rhythm of real-world experience, I joined Bat Country Pet Sitting.
My love for animals is lifelong, and I’m excited to be part of Portland’s pet care community. I also offer pet photography services, available during drop-in and live-in visits.
