We have used Bat Country Pet Sitting a couple of times for the care of our two guinea pigs, Fred and Ferris, and have been extremely satisfied with the thorough care and attentiveness they've received each time! It's very clear how much Brea and Josh innately love and respect animals of all kinds, and always want to learn more about them and their needs. We always felt comforted by their daily text reports and photos, which always make us smile! Brea took wonderful care of my dog, Twyla, and my two cats, Mario and Misty, during a particularly challenging time. Twyla was recovering from pneumonia and required medication, while Mario is a 17-year-old senior cat. Brea followed all instructions carefully and handled their individual needs with professionalism and compassion. Throughout the stay, she kept me updated and gave me confidence that all three pets were receiving excellent care. When I returned home, Twyla, Mario, and Misty were calm, happy, and well cared for. It's clear that Brea is attentive, trustworthy, and experienced with pets who require extra support and medical care. Brea is so wonderful!! Our animals loved her which put us at ease. Our dog had some health issues while we are away, and we greatly appreciated her thoughtful updates and care. We aren't the easiest household to find a pet sitter for; we have a senior dog with social anxiety, a small grumpy parrot, and two ball pythons. Between the special needs of our dog and our exotics, we really needed to have someone be at our place nearly 24/7 for a pet sitting gig, and  it was really hard to feel comfortable leaving for any extended amount of time. Despite these challenges, Brea really knocked it out the park! We left for about four days, and she stayed with our animals nearly the whole time, with a few breaks here or there to take care of her own critters. Medication for our senior pup was dispensed correctly, and we received daily pictures and updates of all of our animals. She also paid close attention to the emotional and physical state of everyone, and made sure we were aware of any changes (such as giving our dog pureed pumpkin if he seemed to have some stomach troubles, which we asked her to do). If we had any questions, she was very quick to respond and we were never left on read. Upon our return, the animals and house looked just as we left them. Outside of her very evident education in animal caretaking, and the obvious joy she gets from spending time with animals, I was particular struck by how professional and thorough she was about security. She walked us through all of her security measures, both to protect herself and our property while we were away. She clearly takes this aspect of the job very seriously. She also is well versed in cyber security. All around I felt very comfortable having her in our space and I would absolutely invite her back for this kind of thing again. I also want to mention that as a bird owner, Brea showed a great deal of knowledge and patience when dealing with my bird. He doesn't take to new people particularly well or quickly, and she was able to pick up on that and take it extremely slowly with him and left him mostly to his own devices, which we were all on the same page about. I still felt confident that she would be able to intervene if something was wrong with him, but she didn't push to make a connection with him too quickly which I really appreciate. I was having a lot of anxiety about leaving for a trip out of the country and finding someone to administer subcutaneous fluids for my senior dog with kidney disease for the week. My partner found Brea online the week before we left and I truly could not be more grateful that our paths crossed! She was *extremely* thorough, kind, and went above and beyond to care for my dog. She even helped care for my other dog and snake and gave me tips for my reptile's enrichment! Brea was very communicative, sent so many photos and updates. My partner and I hired Brea to care for our 10-year old cat, Rosy, while we were away for a long weekend. Along with tending to food, water, and the litter box Brea also gave Rosy liquid medication by mouth. From the very beginning Brea was extremely professional and communicative, taking the time to come for a home visit to meet and get to know Rosy. Additionally, when we felt nervous about the medication, Brea provided a second home visit at no extra cost to practice giving the medication with us. This trip was the first time we'd left Rosy after she was diagnosed with IBD and put on medication for it. Thanks to Brea's expertise and compassion we left feeling much more secure. While we were away Brea was amazing at communicating with us. She told us when she planned to visit Rosy, provided the latest status upon arrival, and sent a bunch of photos. She confirmed when she came and left, sending photos of the refreshed water/food. She also communicated how easy administering medication was! Overall, our experience with Brea was the best cat sitting service we have ever had. We feel extremely lucky to have worked with her and are grateful to be in contact for all our future trips. We will definitely book Brea again and have already started to recommend her services to all our family and friends who will listen (and have a pet.) Brea  - A five star review is not enough it should be 10 stars because you are the most incredible person we have ever met and so perfect for your profession. My babies need special care and you did not blink an eye to do what it took to keep them happy, fed, medicated and loved! We love you and will always use you to sit with our precious babies. I recently hired Brea at Bat Country Pet Sitting to provide care for my two senior cats for a week while I was away on vacation. From the first home visit to set up service, to my return, her professionalism and service were exemplary. One of the cats has significant urinary problems. Brea made sure to review all medical records for both cats and we set up a contingency plan, in case of medical issues while I was gone. Well, it was a good thing she was so thorough from the start, as my cat ended up needing to visit the vet for her issues while I was gone. Brea noticed immediately when Emmy showed signs of urinary distress, and her fast action ensured Emmy got the care she needed immediately. Brea made a trip to the pet store (at no extra charge!) and purchased the special canned food Emmy needed, and monitored her day and night (Brea stayed in my home 24 hours a day while I was away). Brea’s vet tech expertise really came into play, as she was the liaison between me and the vet, and she provided a phone call and texted photos of my kitties every day. Emmy is now happily on her new food regimen and doing well. Brea also made sure to sweep up and vacuum all common areas and give the place a light cleaning before my return—it was a real pleasure coming home to a clean and sweet-smelling home. I couldn’t have been happier with Bat Country’s service and would highly recommend Brea and her expert, loving animal care to anyone, especially those with pets in need of extra care and support!
